In conjunction with the 141st NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits running from April 12-15 in St. Louis, Ruger has announced their brand new and much requested 22/45 Lite rimfire pistol. Chambered for the .22 long rifle round, the new pistol is based on the popular polymer-framed 22/45, but with a new twist.
Making an already lightweight pistol even lighter, the upper receiver is built of gold-anodized aircraft grade aluminum alloy with a 4.5-inch stainless steel barrel insert held in place by a blued steel tension nut that also features external 1/2×28 threads for mounting a suppressor.
Tall, fully adjustable sights to clear the suppressor and removable black Hogue rubber grip panels are standard, and a Weaver-style scope rail is included with two 10-round magazines, a padlock and a black nylon zippered case for a suggested retail of $469 on this 22.8-ounce pistol.
