In celebration of 75 years of firearms manufacturing, the Ruger Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 pistol celebrates the occasion in style. The offering blends a presentation-quality take on an iconic firearm to honor an American institution in gunmaking.
Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 Pistol
The SR1911 becomes the latest in a series of celebratory firearm releases. The 60th Anniversary Ruger 10/22 and a series of previous 75th Anniversary Ruger Commemoratives previously kicked off the party.
Ruger, of course, first introduced is SR1911 in 2011, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the famed Government Model. Now the Diamond Anniversary SR1911 comes as a limited production run. It features a detailed, laser-engraved slide marking Ruger’s 75th anniversary. Custom grip panels feature detailed scrollwork to match the engraved slide. Each pistol ships with a specially marked case, a seven-round magazine, and an eight-round stainless steel magazine.
The pistol also includes a titanium firing pin, extended thumb safety, extended magazine release and oversized beavertail grip safety. A visual inspection port enables shooters to visually confirm a round in the chamber. The plunger tube for the slide stop and thumb safety is integral to the frame. Finally, a skeletonized hammer and aluminum, skeletonized trigger–adjustable for overtravel–round out the package.
Ruger will make only 750 pistols in this limited series. Each will wear a special “R75” serial number prefix. For more info, visit ruger.com.
