Ruger Releases New LCRx and LCP II Handguns

Ruger is at it again. The iconic Connecticut-based gun maker has expanded its available offerings by adding two new lightweight compact models to its revolver and pistol lineups: an LCRx with an external hammer and a three-inch barrel chambered in .22 LR, and an LCP II with a Viridian E-Series red laser which comes factory-installed.

The latest LCRx variant features a fully adjustable rear sight, full-size smooth Hogue Tamer grip, polymer fire control housing, an aerospace grade aluminum monolithic frame and a fluted stainless steel cylinder. MSRP for this is $579.

“With an 8-round capacity, the .22 LR LCRx is the perfect revolver for range practice or to take with you on that fishing or camping trip,” said Ruger’s president and COO Chris Killoy. “The 3-inch barrel, adjustable sight and low recoil make for a tremendously fun shooting experience,” he continued.

The LCP II with a factory-installed Viridian E-Series red laser — which sports 635-650 nm diodes — weighs just one ounce, is mounted on the trigger guard and boasts ambidextrous push-button activation. This model features the same bells and whistles you’ve come to know and love on the other LCP II pistols. We’re talking the same great trigger pull, single-action feel, textured grip frame, easily-rackable slide, last round hold-open, integral sights, bladed trigger safety and internal safety features. It also comes with a pocket holster and is a great option for concealed carry. MSRP is $439.
