With days left in 2017, Ruger has announced its new PC Carbine chambered in 9mm. Designed for everything from plinking to competition and home defense, the Ruger PC Carbine represents the latest entry in the increasingly-popular pistol caliber carbine market.

The Ruger PC Carbine accepts both Ruger and Glock magazines via an interchangeable magazine well system. Just like the 10/22 Takedown, this gun can be taken down for transportation and storage by separating the barrel and forend. Other features include a reversible magazine release and charging handle for left and right-handed shooters; bolt machined from heat-treated chrome-moly steel; and a dead blow action with a custom tungsten dead blow weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces recoil and muzzle rise.
This carbine also sports a ghost ring adjustable rear aperture sight and non-glare, protected blade front sight; glass-filled nylon synthetic stock with a forward-mounted accessory rail and soft rubber buttpad with spacers; and a 16.12-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel barrel with a 1:10 twist and 1/2″-28 thread pattern.
The Ruger PC Carbine ships out with the SR-Series / Security-9 magazine well installed. A Ruger American Pistol magazine well is available separately, and as we mentioned up top, this baby accepts Glock mags, too.

Chris Killoy said in the press release. “Designed with shooting enthusiasts in mind, the PC Carbine’s interchangeable magazine well system allows customers to use some of the most commonly available 9mm Luger handgun magazines in their rifle.”
The Ruger PC Carbine measures 34.37 inches in overall length. It also weighs 6.8 pounds and has a 17-round capacity. There’s also a model with a 10-round capacity. The MSRP is $649.
