The latest variant of the Ruger Precision Rifle uses a hybrid “Target” chamber to safety accommodate 5.56 NATO cartridges while providing projectile control and accuracy for the .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO cartridges. It features an overall weight of 9.8 pounds and measures 39.25 inches in length. It also ships out with two, 10-round AI-style Precision Rifle mags.
Similar to the other Ruger Precision Rifles, this model sports a free-floated, cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling for minimum bullet upset. Minimum bore and groove dimensions and a centralized chamber deliver enhanced accuracy, longevity and ease of cleaning. The barrel length is 20 inches, with a 1:7 twist rate that stabilizes for long-for-caliber projectiles.
All Ruger Precision Rifles come with a left-folding stock with adjustable comb height and length of pull, as well as an ergonomic pistol grip and a Precision Rifle handguard, all of which can be adjusted with AR-style components. Also included is a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake, a 20 MOA scope base and a Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger with a pull weight range between 2.25 and 5 pounds.
MSRP for the Ruger Precision Rifle in 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem is $1599.
