The new Ruger SR45 is a polymer-framed, full-sized, striker-fired, recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered in the powerful .45 ACP cartridge and featuring 10+1 capacity.
The grip on the SR45 is exceedingly thin, to the point that it feels in the hand like a single-stack gun. The grip’s backstrap has a rubberized insert that is removable and reversible to provide either an arched or flat profile. The magazine release and thumb safety are ambidextrous, and there are multiple internal and external safeties as well as a prominent loaded-chamber indicator. The pistol comes standard with adjustable three-dot sights, two steel 10-round magazines and either a black nitride or stainless steel finish.
On the range and with a mix of ammunition, the Ruger SR45 performed flawlessly, with zero malfunctions. Accuracy at 25 yards was very good and consistent with an average of 3-inch five-shot groups. For more information, visit ruger.com or call 603-865-2442.
