Nearly two years ago, Savage arms introduced the A17, the first high-performance semi-automatic rimfire specifically designed for the 17 HMR cartridge. Earlier this year, the company unveiled the A22 Magnum. Now, the Massachusetts-based gun maker has announced it is expanding its line of A-series of semi-auto rimfire rifles with the addition of the A22 in .22LR.
The Savage Arms A22 22LR features a straight-blowback action, the same thread-in headspace system as the brands centerfire rifles, a 10-round rotary magazine, a lightweight aluminum receiver and the Savage AccuTrigger which allows for a crisp and clean trigger pull that is fully user adjustable. It also boasts a button-rifled, 22-inch barrel with a 1:16 twist, an overall weight of 5.63 pounds, and more.
