As far as AR-15 lowers go, the Seekins Precision SP223 is among the best. With this in mind, Seekins has developed a more traditional lower called the SBA15.

Based on Seekins’ SP223 billet lower, the all new SBA15 billet lower features a number of similar features as its predecessor, including an ambi bolt release, integral winter trigger guard, flared magwell and similar markings.

So what’s different? Take a look at the magwell. The SBA15 features a straight magwell, which is much different than the curved magwell on the SP223 billet lower.

The SBA15 features a quick access mag release and an oversized built in trigger guard that allows for the use of a thick winter glove. The magazine release area has been designed to allow quick and easy access to the release button from any position.

Other features of the SBA15 include an upper receiver tensioning screw under the grip and a captive detent spring to retain the rear takedown pin. All roll pins have been replaced with screw in dowel pins.

The lower has an MSRP of $259.
