Sentinel XL: Wilson Combines Sub-Compact Frame, Compact Top End

It seems like Wilson Combat is coming out with a new pistol almost every week at this point. For its latest offering, the company has combined its 4-inch compact top end with its exclusive Sentinel sub-compact frame to create a unique everyday carry custom handgun: The Sentinel XL.

The Sentinel XL has the smallest 1911 grip available with the enhanced practical accuracy and reliability a compact slide offers.

Wilson created the pistol for shooters who prefer a shorter grip or concealed carry with a longer sight radius.

The Sentinel sub-compact frame is .5-inch shorter than Wilson’s standard compact frames. Mated with ultra-slim G10 grips, unique to the Sentinel line, shooters have a firearm well-suited for smaller hands or concealed carry without printing.

The Sentinel XL is available in .45, 9mm, and .38 Super. The .45 model has an MSRP of $3,800, while the 9mm and .38 Super models retail for $3,910.
