As serious shooters, whether competitive or defensive, we must have metrics to measure our skills. One of the most commonly measured skills is speed. For decades, we have used handheld timers that have been a bit bulky. This has been the norm because, as the cliché goes, “that’s the way it’s always been done”. But now things have changed. Following the 2026 SHOT Show, Walker’s released the revolutionary SHOTSYNC wearable shot timer.

SHOTSYNC Wearable Shot Timer – Changing the Game
“SHOTSYNC is built for shooters of every skill level,” said Ben Smith, Brand Manager. “During training, it provides instant feedback by pairing an integrated microphone with advanced accelerometer sensors to accurately track shot counts and split times, building a personalized performance history over time.”

Audio and Vibration Signal
Each drill begins with an audio signal from the user’s mobile device paired with a simultaneous vibration from the wearable, creating a consistent start. SHOTSYNC utilizes both a microphone and accelerometer sensors to accurately count shots and record split times, featuring Bluetooth 5.2 low-energy connectivity to customize par times, set start signals, adjust shot sensitivity, and track all training sessions. It captures training session data, whether 30 seconds or 3 minutes in length, to build a history of athletes’ shooting practice.
To use SHOTSYNC, shooters simply set a start delay to trigger an auditory timer, which activates the device. The wearable then captures the time between the user’s draw and first fire, in addition to every sequential shot that follows for the remainder of the session. SHOTSYNC can even be calibrated to function with a variety of firearm types, allowing users to create profiles matching each one. The device is compatible with the Walker’s Link app.
