Designed as a tribute to both the Second Amendment and the iconic pistol, the 1911 We The People sports custom aluminum grips adorned with 50 stars—25 on each side—representing each state in the union. Meanwhile, the stainless steel slide and frame feature a distressed finish and patriotic engravings, including 13 stars atop the slide and the words “WE THE PEOPLE” and “1776” on the slide flats.
While it’s undoubtedly a salute to the past, Sig’s 1911 We The People is built for modern-day use, boasting an ambidextrous safety and low-profile night sights. It also has a five-inch barrel and a skeletonized SAO trigger with a five-pound pull. This gun measures 8.7 inches in overall length and 1.4 inches in width. Meanwhile, it has a height of 5.5 inches and weighs in at 41.6 ounces.
Shipping out with two eight-round steel mags, the 1911 We The People in .45 Auto is available at a suggested retail price of $1,481.
