SIG AIR ProForce Airsoft Pistols Provide Professional Level Training

Training is just as important as the gun one carries. In fact, it might be more important. However, it can be difficult to implement real-life situations into training without a good airsoft gun, and most just don’t have a good feel. Enter the SIG AIR ProForce airsoft pistol line.

Sig’s M17 airsoft pistol looks and feels the same as the P320-M17 9mm pistol. In fact, it features a polymer frame and metal slide with full blow-back action. If even comes with a Picatinny accessory rail that allows for quick and easy mounting of a laser or tactical flashlight. However, instead of a standard mag, this one comes with a proprietary drop magazine that holds 21 rounds of 6mm polymer or biodegradable BBs.

The pistol fires these BBs via either CO2 or green gas to a velocity of 330 fps, depending on temperature and altitude. However, most interesting is the adjustable hop-up feature that creates spin on the BBs for additional stabilization in flight, which results in increased distance and accuracy.

SIG AIR P229 Airsoft Pistol

The SIG AIR ProForce P229 is a full-size, metal frame airsoft pistol with an ergonomic polymer grip. Green gas powers this pistol that features a full-metal slide with realistic blowback. It also features a Picatinny accessory rail that allows mounting of a laser or tactical flashlight, along with fixed front and rear white-dot sights for quick target acquisition. However, its drop magazine holds 25 rounds of 6mm polymer or biodegradable BBs that leave the barrel at around 330 fps.

The P229 airsoft pistol was even recently chosen by the US Coast Guard as its training gun. This, of course, could just be the biggest example of the quality of Sig’s airsoft line. The U.S. military train often for a variety of situations, and have stringent standards for everything used.
