In 2019, SIG Sauer released a sweetheart of a pistol-based PDW, the MCX Rattler Canebrake. Chambered in .300 BLK and coming suppressor-ready, the Canebrake brought a short-stroke-piston-driven design into a wonderfully compact, tactical machine. Now for training, sport or just for fun, SIG releases its airgun cousin, the MCX Canebrake pellet rifle.
SIG MCX Canebrake Pellet Rifle
The MCX Canebrake airgun mirrors the same design cue of the original MCX Rattler Canebrake. The .177 rifle comes with a metal receiver. It features a synthetic handguard with an integrated M-LOK modular locking accessory system. Flip-up sights reside on top of a full-length Picatinny rail. Within, a shrouded barrel delivers the distinctive look of a suppressed Canebrake. The system comes with a 30-round SIG Rapid Pellet magazine for extended shooting sessions.
The Canebrake Pellet Rifle couldn’t come at a better time. Experts expect our ammo shortage to continue unabated. So getting to the range and getting in quality training time becomes more difficult. Keeping your stock of .223/5.56 ammo fresh remains a daunting challenge. The Canebrake Pellet Rifle enables shooters to get quality trigger pull for a fraction of the price. Better still, many can set up a range or series of targets in the backyard, basement or garage. For anyone looking to continue training at a high level, a quality airgun should be part of the plan.
To that end, SIG Sauer offers full lines of high-quality airguns, ammo and target systems for realistic training. And if you carry a SIG, you can match just about any current production gun to get the most from your airgun supplement. The MCX Canebrake Pellet Rifle retails for $249.99.
