Last week, Sig Sauer announced its new P320 Advanced Sport Pellet air pistol. Now, the New Hampshire-based gun maker is unveiling yet another great training option for new and experienced shooters with the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol.

Based on Sig’s 1911 Spartan centerfire pistol, the CO₂-powered, semi-automatic 1911-style BB pistol variant features a bronze finish with a slide engraved with the Greek words “MOLON LABE,” which translates to “Come and Take Them.” The grip is adorned with the Spartan helmet. Meanwhile, this air pistol also comes with a full-metal slide and frame with realistic blowback action of the metal slide, and a 16-round magazine that holds 4.5mm steel BBs, the press release says.

To make this an even more appealing option for training, the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol fits in a standard 1911 holster, and it mimics the weight and controls of a traditional 1911.

Boasting the same skeletonize trigger as the centerfire model, the 1911 Spartan BB Pistol also has a cam lever CO₂ loading port so you can easily and quickly load 12gr CO₂ cartridges, the press release says. This pistol is capable of shooting up to 410 fps, but that all hinges on temperature and altitude.
