WATCH: New SIG SIERRA6BDX Gives Rifle Scope Series a Big Upgrade

It’s easy to ask “What do they do?” when looking at firearm manufacturers—most that is. But when looking at SIG Sauer, it’s a lot easier to look at what SIG doesn’t do, because that list is far shorter. From firearms to ammo to optics, SIG does just about everything. Queue the SIG SIERRA6BDX, its newest optic system.

SIG SIERRA6BDX Details & Range Time

SIG first announced the SIERRA6BDX back in April. We just got our first hands-on look at the SIERRA6BDX at the 2020 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous in Idaho. The new system, which finally hits the market on Nov. 12, builds upon the previous SIERRA3. It also incorporates that lovely SIG BDX (Ballistic Data Exchange) system we’ve grown so fond of.

“This is kind of the evolution of what our SIERRA3 was,” said Joe Fruechtel, the Director of Product Development for SIG Optics. “So we’ve made a lot of improvements based on the lessons with the SIERRA3. We’ve upgraded the reticle and have twice the amount of hold points. We’ve made the stadia’s thicknesses slightly smaller so shooting at longer ranges is quite a bit easier with them.”
