SIG ZULU6: Image-Stabilized Binocular Delivers 'Crystal Clear Image'

SIG Sauer just announced the launch of its latest addition to its Electro-Optics line, the ZULU6. The SIG ZULU6 brings Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology to a hand-held binocular.

The system utilizes an electronically stabilized two-axis gimbal system. It helps cancel out vibration from buffeting wind, chop on water, bounce on roads, heartbeat, breathing and more.

“The SIG SAUER image stabilizing technology was introduced several years ago in our OSCAR3 compact spotting scope, and we’re excited to integrate this incredible technology into the new and affordable ZULU6 binoculars,” said Andy York, President, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “Most binocular brands have been chasing that last degree of optical resolution and frankly vibration cancels that resolution out, the new OIS technology allows for crystal-clear handheld viewing with stunning image quality, once you use this new tech, you will not go back to traditional binoculars.”

The SIG ZULU6 Image Stabilized Binoculars feature patented optical image stabilization (OIS) technology. It also includes SPECTRACOAT, LENSHIELD, and MOTAC (motion activated illumination).
