Last year SK Customs launched its “La Revolución” series with the Pancho Villa, telling the tale of the Mexican Revolutionary. The “La Revolución” series details the rich history of the Mexican Revolution using a Colt 1911 as its canvas. And now, SK Customs adds the second part to the series with Venustiano Carranza, the first president under the revolutionary Mexican Constitution in 1917.
The SK Customs “La Revolución” Venustiano Carranza 1911
A pistol fit for a president, the Venustiano Carranza uses a Colt 1911 Full Size Government Model as its canvas. Chambered in .38 Super, the pistol beautifully details the accomplishments of Carranza on the polished royal blue finished steel.
Likewise, selective 24k gold controls help to set off the aesthetic in striking fashion. Similarly, a set of custom Kirinite grips embedded with custom 24k gold Peso Medallions round out the theme.
Also known as “Primer Jefe” or First Chief, Carranza consolidated power in the capitol. This led to a convention in 1916 to revise the liberal constitution. As a result, Carranza was elected the first president under the new revolutionary Mexican Constitution of 1917. He went on to serve from 1917 to 1920.
On the left side of the slide, a Cannas floral scroll leads to the “Monument to the Revolution” in Mexico City at the rear. Additionally, 24k gold illustrates Carranza on horseback, giving a salute. Correspondingly, a 24k gold scroll features the engraving “Primer Jefe del Ejército Constitucionalista” (First Chief of the Constitutional Army).
Likewise, the forward portion of the slide portrays the Constitutional Army following Carranza into the city center in 24k gold. Just forward of the display is a 24k gold scroll with the words “Paseo De La Reforma” (Promenade of the Reform).
Adorning the right side is the word “REVOLUCION” in bold 24k gold lettering surrounded by Cannas floral scroll. Similarly, a depiction of Carranza’s Constitutional Army in 24k gold is followed by a gold scroll with the title “Insurrectos Mexicanos” (Mexican Insurgents). Finally, the rear of the slide showcases the Carranza Family Coat of Arms above the serialized number xxx of 300.
Finishing the theme is a portrait of Carranza and the iconic era respective Mexican Eagle in 24k gold atop the slide.

“After 7 years of civil unrest, Carranza provided much-needed hope for the Mexican Revolution,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Customs. “This limited-edition production follows the first firearm in the series, “Pancho Villa,” and represents the restoration of lands to native peoples, the separation of church and state, and dramatic economic and educational reforms.”
