Santa Muerte continues to surge in popularity, taking an increasingly prominent role in Day of the Dead festivities, according to SK Guns. The ceremonies take place on the first and second days of November. Associated with healing, protection and financial well-being, Santa Muerte reportedly performed miracles for those in need. She also assures a path to the afterlife, reaping the souls of the deceased.

Santa Muerte also watches over the bones of the dead, presiding over the ancient festivals of the dead. These festivals evolved from Aztec traditions, according to SK Guns, becoming the modern day Day of the Dead, blending with Spanish traditions. She now presides over the contemporary festival, knows as the “Ladyof the Dead.” Legend states on the day of her born and sacrificed as an infant.

“Santa Muerte is a significant addition to our Saints by the Roots series,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “We are proud to honor the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with the Day of the Dead by introducing this iconic figure to our custom firearms collection.”
