Smith & Wesson has delivered a production-line pistol with features that used to be a strictly custom job—a 5-shot, L-frame, .44 Magnum, double-action (DA) revolver. This newest combat magnum at a glance looks like the Model 66, a K-frame, 6-shot, .357 Magnum, however the Model 69 is on a slightly bigger frame (though not as large as the N-frame which has been what S&W normally uses for its .44 Magnum six-guns). The S&W Model 69 has a 4.25-inch barrel with an ejector rod shroud and red ramp front sight.
