Recently Smith & Wesson announced their upcoming move to Tennessee and on November 5th they broke ground in Maryville. For this reason, the manufacturer is commemorating the historic event with a Limited-Edition rifle. The Smith & Wesson M&P 15T II Engraved Limited-Edition Rifle celebrates the move while also representing their commitment to the 2nd amendment.

Building on the M&P 15T is a feature rich carbine, worthy of a Limited-Edition rifle. The lower receiver starts with four rubber buffers, providing tighter tolerances and greater accuracy. In addition, just rear of the lower receiver is a Magpul CTR carbine-length collapsible stock.
The rifle also includes the M&P grip with four interchangeable palmswell grip inserts, allowing the user to create the perfect fit. Nestled within the oversized integral trigger guard is a new flat faced trigger, additionally promoting a crisp, consistent trigger pull. Correspondingly, a mid-length gas system helps to reduce recoil while you send rounds downrange.
Lefty’s will be glad to hear that the Limited-Edition is completely ambidextrous, starting with the Ambidextrous Radian Raptor-LT charging handle. Likewise, the safety selector is also ambidextrous, for easy manipulation with either hand.
Housed within the M&P M-Lok rail is a 16-inch free-float barrel with 5R rifling and 1:8 twist rate. Furthermore, the barrel ends with a M4E flash suppressor to aid in low light shooting. Additionally, the 15-inch aluminum rail features a picatinny rail running its entire length. As a result, there is plenty of room to affix optics and accessories, like the included Magpul MBUS sights.
Where the M&P 15T Limited-Edition stands out is in the engraving on the magazine well. Particularly, S&W uses this opportunity to represent the company’s commitment to the 2nd amendment and its customers. In this case, the magwell is emblazoned with an eagle, American flag and the words, “Since 1852 Protecting the 2nd.”
The M&P 15T II Engraved Limited-Edition is limited to 2,100 pieces, a nod to their old address 2100 Roosevelt Ave.
