The 9mm revolver is a hot item right now and with Smith & Wesson’s new 9mm series, the heat just got turned up.
The new line features the Model 986 revolver and the Jerry Miculek Model 929 Signature Series.
With a seven-round capacity, the 986 has a 5-inch barrel length with a 10.5-inch overall length and a weight of 34.9 ounces. It also features a patridge front sight, an adjustable rear sight and a synthetic grip.
As part of the Smith & Wesson Performance Center, the Model 986 revolver includes a titanium, fluted cylinder, a precision crowned barrel, a cylinder cut for moonclips and a PC mainspring. It also features a stainless steel frame.
Like the 986, the Jerry Miculek Model 929 Signature Series features a patridge front sight, an adjustable rear sight and a synthetic grip. It also includes the titanium cylinder, the cylinder cut for moonclips and a stainless steel frame. However, the Miculek Signature Series has its differences from the 986.
Unlike the 986, the Miculek Signature Series has an eight-round capacity with an added barrel length of 6.5 inches, an overall length of 12.25 inches and a weight of 44.2 ounces.
Additional features of the Jerry Miculek Model 929 Signature Series include a removable compensator, a chrome teardrop hammer, ChromeTrigger with Stop, PC Tuned Action and, of course, a signature from the one and only Jerry Miculek.
The Model 986 revolver retails for $1,149, while the Jerry Miculek Model 929 Signature Series retails for $1,189.
