A pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air pistol chambered for .177, .22 and .25 caliber pellets, the Sortie sports a refillable 62cc on-board air cylinder that gives the shooter up to 28 shots at optimal velocity per fill in .177, and 36 shots at optimal velocity in .22. Optimal velocity is the number of shots within 85 percent of peak velocity. The maximum velocity is 800fps in .177 and 700fps in .22. Velocity for .25 isn’t listed on HatsanUSA’s website. Meanwhile, a built-in pressure gauge allows the end user to monitor air cylinder pressure.
The Sortie air pistol also features a fully shrouded, precision rifled 7.9-inch barrel; quick-fill nozzle; and comes with adjustable TruGlo sights. In addition, the receiver sports a Weaver/Dovetail rail milled into it, which accepts 11mm and 22mm optics. Taking ergonomics into account, the company included a polymer, checkered grip in the package as well.
Shipping out with a hard case and three rotary magazines with capacities of 14 shots in .177, 12 shots in .22 caliber or 10 shots in .25 caliber, the Sortie weighs in at 4.4 pounds overall and measures 15.5 inches in length.
MSRP on the HatsanUSA Sortie is $629.99.
