1 of 75: Special-Edition Ruger No. 1 Marks 75 Years of Gunmaking

Ruger continues its celebration of 75 years of gunamking in America. The company recently announced the addition of a special-edition Ruger No. 1 rifle adorned in 75th Anniversary markings, sure to spark the interest of collectors and Ruger fans.

Special Edition Ruger No. 1 Rifle

Ruger will limit this incredible No. 1 to a mere 75 rifles manufactured, making it a true collector piece. The rifle features an engraved “1 of 75” on the bottom receiver. A special serial number (R75-401 through R75-475) sets the rifles apart even further.

“This rifle not only commemorates a significant milestone in the Company’s history, but it is a testament to the dedicated craftsmen and women working to preserve Bill Ruger’s legacy,” said Chris Killoy, President and CEO of Ruger Firearms. “This beautifully crafted rifle is truly a work of art.”

Ruger initially debuted the No. 1 rifle in 1967, designed by Bill Ruger himself. It includes a hammerless falling-block action designed for both strength and beauty. The diamond anniversary edition of the No. 1 rifle comes handsomely adorned with attractive scrollwork engraving. The treatment accentuates the gold and silver Ruger Eagle and 75th anniversary emblem.

The commemorative Ruger No. 1 comes chambered in .270 Win. It features a 22-inch barrel with express sights and includes integral scope mounts machined directly on the solid steel quarter rib. High-grade American walnut pairs with the build to round out this new take on a Ruger classic.

Editor’s Take:

Ruger keeps on celebrating its birthday in style. The company previously launched a commemorative SR1911, along with a trio including the Mark IV Standard, 10/22 and LCP MAX. But this No. 1 rifle stands apart from the rest. For Ruger fans or collectors of fine, rare guns, jump in line now. We expect these very special rifles to be in incredibly high demand.
