Police arrived to learn that the store owner handled the situation before he dialed 911.

“He said, ‘Give me money!’, and then I knew exactly what to do,” said Ho to KXLY in Spokane, Wash. “I pulled out my gun — like this — and I pointed it right at him, and he ran.”

Ho described the suspect as male, approximately 5 foot, 5 inches and wearing a black hoodie and white pants. Unfortunately, the robber had covered his face, and Ho could not identify his race.

Additionally, this isn’t the first time Ho had sent a robber packing. Ho did the same thing to a robber about a year ago. Pretty soon, some of the local criminals will learn to leave this Spokane store owner alone. He’s packing and ready.

Spokane Store Owner Not the Only Business

Store owners have long used firearms to protect their businesses. However, QuikTrip has completely put this theory to test. The national convenience store group is adding armed security to its stores. QuikTrip tested the idea Wichita, Kan., and it worked so well, the company is expanding the program.

Now there have been some reports that the company is armed clerks. The company denies this. Instead, QuikTrip is looking to hire full-time security, rather than contracting off-duty police. However, it looks like the company might let some other employees, those with the proper licenses and previous experience.

It is pretty obviously that this program will work. Criminals are much more likely to target a store without security. As such, QuikTrip has probably made a good decision, if the company can fill all of the positions.
