Earlier this year, Springfield Armory released threaded barrels for the Hellcat and XD-M pistols. Around the same time, the company released a version of the Hellcat Pro OSP with a threaded barrel. However, the threaded barrel itself was not available as an accessory drop-in barrel—until now.

Constructed of high-quality hammer-forged steel, the 4.4-inch barrel promises high durability. Likewise, a black Melonite finish delivers rust resistance and lubricity. Additionally, the barrels are manufactured in the same facility as the Hellcat Pro to ensure proper fitment and function.
The drop-in barrel features 1/2×28 threading and is designed to work with a standard configuration 3.7-inch Hellcat Pro 9mm. Once installed, the barrel allows users to run suppressors or other muzzle devices, such as a compensator. In addition, the barrel features a twist rate of 1:10 and weighs in at 3.3 ounces.
“With this new threaded barrel for the Hellcat Pro, shooters can further expand the capabilities of this extremely popular EDC pistol,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “You can now easily run a suppressor or the muzzle device of your choice on your Hellcat Pro with this high-quality factory accessory.”
The MSRP for the 9mm Hellcat Pro 4.4-inch threaded barrel is $169.99, and it is available now at Springfield-Armory.com.

Hellcat Barrels
The Hellcat threaded barrel kit features a 3.8-inch hammer-forged threaded barrel with self-indexing compensator. It comes with an included thread protector as well. The barrel utilizes 1/2×28 threading, designed to work with any standard 3-inch Hellcat pistol in 9mm. It comes with a black Melonite finish.
The anodized compensator, made from 8082 aluminum, is anodized matte black. The comp reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil. The barrel twist rate is 1:10; overall weight comes in a 2.72 ounces, with the compensator weighing 0.7 ounces.
XD-M Barrels
The XD-M barrels also feature the black Melonite finish and thread protectors. The twist rate is 1:10 for 9mm and 1:16 for 10mm and .45 ACP. The 9mm barrel weighs 4.04 ounces, while the 10mm weighs 4.45 ounces. Weight for the .45 ACP barrel is 3.36 ounces. Barrels in 9mm feature 1/2×28 threading; 10mm and .45 ACP theading is .578×28.
