This holster — reduced to the barest of essentials — offers a secure grip on the Springfield XDE thanks to its exact molding and adjustable tension device. The Mini-Scabbard is built to accommodate belts that are up to 1 1/2″ wide. MSRP is $62.99
This exposed muzzle, tight-fitting, two-slot holster is a great choice for your Springfield XDE with its premium saddle leather construction, double seams and a detailed molded fit. It sports an adjustable-tension device. Belt slots are 1 3/4″ wide. MSRP is $74.99.

The IWB Sof-Tuk is built from soft, no-slip suede and reinforced at the top with premium saddle leather, which helps when you want to re-holster your XDE. It features an adjustable cant and it’s capable of being worn strong side, cross draw or on the small of your back. MSRP is $33.99.
The DeSantis Cozy Partner comes with a tension device and precise molding for handgun retention. Meanwhile, the holster’s shape is retained via memory band, allowing for easy one-handed re-holstering. A 1 1/2″ split belt loop is standard here. Belt loops are not adjustable, nor are they available in smaller sizes. MSRP is $81.99.
Made from premium padded ballistic nylon, the DeSantis Pro-Stealth features a 1 3/4″ powder coated spring clip that keeps it anchored to your belt. The clip can be removed and inserted on the opposite side for left hand carry. DeSantis also took the liberty of throwing in a spare magazine pouch as well. An optional thumb break is available separately. MSRP is $38.99
Yet another option for your new Springfield XDE is the DeSantis Tuck-This II. Built from padded 1050D black ballistic nylon and lined with slick pack cloth, the Tuck-This II features a widely adjustable belt tab that can swing from cross draw to FBI-strong side carry. The tab lets the end user tuck their shirt down between the gun and trousers for optimum concealment. This holster accommodates belts up to 1 3/4″ wide. MSRP is $43.99
If you’re looking for an XDE holster that offers both concealment and comfort, you’ve come to the right place. The Insider is built to minimize bulk. It’s made with a heavy-duty spring steel clip that is positioned high for cover. The leather is soft and un-molded. MSRP for this holster is $28.99.
If you want a pocket holster that’ll never move out of position in your front pocket, consider the Nemesis. The inside is made of a slick pack cloth for a low friction draw, and the core features just the right amount of foam to break up the gun’s outline. MSRP is $25.99.
This holster, DeSantis says, features a “new exclusive sticky rubberized fabric which is even more viscous than the Nemesis.” The company also threw in an outer flap that is both removable and reversible. Similar to the Nemesis, the inside sports a slick pack cloth for a low friction draw. But the inside of this one is also reinforced with added polymer. This holster will work in your back or front pocket. MSRP is $39.99.
Similar to the Model 576, the Model 578 also features Safariland’s GLS technology and SafariSeven nylon blend. Where this one differs is with the inclusion of an injection-molded paddle. An injection-molded belt loop is also featured here, and it’s adjustable for maximum comfort and allows the holster to be worn cross draw. MSRP is $55.
Like the name suggests, this model features Safariland’s GLS (Grip Lock System), a technology that secures your Springfield XDE when holstered and releases it upon applying your middle finger with a standard shooting grip. It’s made from SafariSeven, a nylon blend that is non-abrasive to the gun’s finish, tolerant of high and low temps, and easily maintained. This holster also comes with a hi-ride injection-molded belt loop designed to fit 1.5″ belt widths. MSRP is $50.
Another option for your Springfield XDE is this offering in Safariland’s GLS Pro-Fit series. Boasting the same GLS technology and SafariSeven nylon blend as the other models, the Model 577 features an injection-molded belt loop that fits 1.5″ (38mm) and 1.75″ (45mm) belt widths. MSRP is $50.
Rounding out the XDE holsters in Safariland’s GLS Pro-Fit line is this, the Model 579. It has all the bells and whistles of the other models in this series, but it also features a belt clip which easily detaches from the belt and fits up to 2.25″ belt widths. MSRP is $50.
Bianchi, another Safariland Group brand, is getting in on the Springfield XDE fun with its compact Foldaway holster. Made of premium, full grain leather, the Foldaway uses the belt as its “interior” while a trigger guard cutout retains the gun. The holster can be folded flat. Designed to fit up to 1.5″ belt widths and available in a plain tan or plain black finish, the Foldaway has a MSRP of $18.50.
The Evader holster comes with Bianchi’s Auto Retention, with the FingerLok internal retention device securing the firearm upon re-holstering. This rig boasts a tough Trilaminate construction with a ballistic weave finish for everyday carry applications. The open top design attaches to the belt with two wraparound web straps with dual snaps that fit up to 1.75″ belt widths. Riding high and close to the body for comfort, this holster has a MSRP of $31.75.
Combining the design of a thumb break belt holster with the convenience of a paddle holster is Bianchi’s Model 59 Special Agent holster. This offering features a premium grade, full grain leather construction and is unlined for a smooth draw. The paddle design can be rotated, giving you a bunch of different carry options. It has molded-in elastomer ridges for maximum grip on the trousers and belt. The holster is also adjustable for cant and height for stability and comfort. MSRP is $84.75.
Bianchi’s Model 7500 Paddle Holster sports a thumb snap with a roll top design that provides closure over the XDE’s hammer. The paddle gives you a lot of adjustability options in terms of cant and draw height and lets you position the holster where it’s most comfortable and accessible, keeping it (and the XDE) close to your body. Like the Model 59, the Model 7500 features molded-in elastomer ridges for maximum grip on the trousers and belt. MSRP is $59.25.
If you’re looking for a good OWB option, the open-top, hip-carry, low-profile Model 57 Remedy might just do the trick. Built for semi-autos (like the XDE) and revolvers, this hi-ride model comes with deep molded contours on the front, giving you a secure gun fit with a classic style. Meanwhile, the Remedy also has two slots for 1.5″ belt widths. MSRP is $56.
Touted by Bianchi as filling “a niche in the Bianchi line not previously offered,” the Model 58 P.I. features a fully-molded holster front for improved comfort, as well as an open-top design for quick and easy access to your XDE. This holster is ideal when worn in the small of the back or your rear hip with a heavy 30 degree cant for the draw angle. The Model 58 P.I. also features deep contour molding, making visible the shape of the handgun it’s holding. MSRP: $58
Rounding out Bianchi’s offerings for the Springfield XDE is this, the Model 7001. Built for outdoor and concealed carry applications, it features a trilaminate construction of a closed-cell foam center, poly-knit inner lining and ballistic weave outer finish for optimum and sturdy handgun protection. The Model 7001 rides at a 10-13 degree forward angle, and the Roll-Top thumb break wraps cleanly over the XDE’s hammer. Meanwhile, the belt slides through the Quick-Slide 1.75″ belt loop. MSRP is $42.
Billed as one of CrossBreed’s most popular holsters, the SuperTuck Deluxe IWB is yet another option for your Springfield XDE. It features a premium leather backing, as well as a molded and mounted kydex pocket. It’s capable of being worn with or without your shirt tucked in, depending on your needs and style. Meanwhile, the company’s SnapLok powder coated steel belt clips are modular, meaning you can adjust both cant and ride height. The holster comes with three choices of leather, an optional combat cut and various clip choices, which ups the personalization factor for this hand-crafted holster. MSRP is $69.75.
The main feature of CrossBreed’s QwikClip is its newly-designed single wide clip that slips over the belt and pants, allowing for easier on and off without threading the belt. It comes with the same clip spacers, premium leather and hardware as the SuperTuck Deluxe. This holster can also be worn Straight Drop, FBI Cant or Crossdraw. Available in CrossBreed’s Black Cowhide, Tan Premium Hard Rolled Cowhide and Natural Tan Horsehide, the QwikClip has a MSRP of $66.50.
If versatility is your goal, the aptly-named Freedom Carry delivers. Its slim design gives you the freedom of comfortable carry, while being supported by the locking clip design. This holster lets you carry your XDE in many positions from the Appendix, Cross draw, and strong side 3-5 o’clock. Its leather shape also has the right amount of leather to be comfortable while keeping the frame and slide of the pistol from contacting your body, CrossBreed says. Meanwhile, the Freedom Carry’s pocket is mounted in a straight draw position and features an adjustable cant clip. This holster is also designed to accept firearms with weapon lights, lasers and micro red dot sights on the slide. MSRP: $64.50.
One of CrossBreed’s OWB offerings for the Springfield XDE is the DropSlide, which features 1 ¾” belt slots that work well with 1 1/4“ and 1 ½” belts and is designed to keep your XDE snug against your body. The cut of the leather backer allows for a “full grip on the firearm when drawing and extended leather on the bottom side to keep most longer barrel firearms from rubbing against your clothes and body,” according to CrossBreed. Available in Black Cowhide, Tan Premium Cowhide and Natural Tan Horsehide, MSRP for this option is $50.50.
The CrossBreed SnapSlide OWB keeps your XDE secure and close to your body. It’s a belt slide-style holster with belt 1.75-inch belt slots. It works best with a 1.5 or 1.25-inch belt. t’s designed so XDE is high and tight, behind the hip on your strong side, and flat for concealment under a loose shirt. It comes with the same leather options as the other models. Other options include a Sweat Guard or Sweat Guard with Combat Cut. It can accommodate guns with Burris, RMR and Docter micro red dot sights. MSRP: $48.50.
The SuperSlide is billed as an OWB 3 slot holster capable of being worn in two different positions. The first, and most common, is the standard behind the hip with a slight forward cant. The second is a slight reverse cant for cross draw applications. The belt slots are 1.75″ and can be used with either 1.5″ or 1.25″ belts. The holster’s design pulls the XDE and grip in tight to the body, and offers great concealment under the proper garment. Like the SnapSlide, the SuperSlide can accommodate guns with Burris, RMR and Docter red dot sights. MSRP: $52.50.
Bravo Concealment’s BCA (Bravo Concealment Adaptive) holster is built for OWB, but can easily be converted to IWB by switching out the belt loops. Features include: solid locking retention; 10 degree cant; 1.5” or 1.75” injection molded belt loops which (as we said) can be replaced with belt clips for IWB; adequate room for a positive grip; and 6061-T6 aluminum construction. MSRP isn’t listed yet.
Designed specifically for IWB carry, the Bravo Concealment DOS (Drop Out-of Sight) is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and offers deep concealment. This comfortable option is touted as being one of the few IWB holsters offering retention, and it conceals “to its fullest potential” when worn on the appendix. Another advantage is that this holster adds minimal mass to your XDE. It’s available in black, FDE and grey. MSRP isn’t listed.
One of the most pressing concerns for new gun owners is undoubtedly buying a holster that can accommodate his or her firearm.

The only problem is that with the amount of choices out there offering concealment and comfort, knowing where to start looking seems like an impossible task. And, if your gun is brand new, you might be under the impression that there’s nothing out there for you yet. You’d be wrong on both counts.
Take the Springfield XDE, for example. This hammer-fired, single-stack, 9mm compact DA/SA pistol was just announced last week, and there are already major holster makers in the industry announcing fits that can accommodate it.
