Steiner eOptics Unveils V2 Versions of DBAL-RL and SBAL-RL Laser & Light

Steiner eOptics made a splash at the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits with the release of v2 versions of its DBAL-RL and SBAL-RL laser aiming devices.

Identical to the DBAL-PL v2, the DBAL-RL v2 combines a laser pointer, an infrared laser pointer and illuminator, and a white light illuminator into one aluminum package. Where the DBAL-RL v2 differs is in the included end cap that lets the user plug in and operate the unit without two remote paddle switches. Similarly, the SBAL-RL v2 combines a visible laser and white light illuminator with a single receptacle end cap for remote switch operation. Both units are available with green or red lasers and were built in Steiner eOptics’ new 50,000 square foot facility in Ohio.

According to the press release, the remote switching feature is designed for CQB environments that call for a shotgun or SBR.

“Prior to the -RL solutions, hostage rescue and door breaching teams were forced to adapt long-rifle lasers to their shotguns and short-barreled rifles, said Alan Page, General Manager for Steiner eOptics. “The resulting innovative v2 enhancements represent some of the most advanced laser aiming and illumination solutions designed for home defense and CQB missions.”

The v2 features include programmable switch functions for single tap, double tap and press and hold use. The DBAL-RL v2 and SBAL-RL v2 also have five dimming levels for each laser and illuminator.

These units are rugged, reliable and built to “dependable military environment specifications as Steiner eOptics’ DBAL-A3 providing confidence to those who rely on them performing on the range and in battle,” the press release says.
