Savage Arms has announced it is expanding its 555 over-under shotgun line with three new compact models. According to the press release, the Stevens 555 Compact features a mid-length forearm and a 13.25-inch length-of-pull. In other words, it’s great for shooters with a smaller frame.

Similar to the original Stevens 555, these new variants feature a light aluminum receiver that is scaled to gauge. Meanwhile, the breech is reinforced with a steel insert, which minimizes weight while maximizing strength and power.

The Stevens 555 Compact boasts a Turkish walnut stock and forearm, shell extractors, a manual safety, and a single, selective mechanical trigger. It also comes with five interchangeable choke tubes. See below to learn more.
