STI’s relationship with self defense and weapons trainer Chris Costa has yielded positive results thus far with the release of the Costa Carry Comp and Costa H.O.S.T. pistols. Now the Texas-based manufacturer is rolling out another Costa-branded firearm: the Costa VIP.

Specifically designed for the concealed carry market, the Costa VIP pistol features a shortened stippled grip; 4.15-inch bull barrel; low profile Tritium front sight with a fixed ledge rear; and a Picatinny under-rail for when you want to mount a light or other accessories. The gun also sports a Diamond-like Carbon black finish, with a black TreeBark stippled VIP length grip to ensure concealment.
The 2011 platform offers a higher round capacity for more firepower when it’s needed most, STI says. The modular design of the 2011 transfers recoil along a flatter plain for enhanced control and quicker follow-up shots. The Costa VIP features STI’s “Recoil Master” spring system to reduce recoil, thereby allowing you to stay on target.
The STI Costa VIP is chambered in 9mm and .45 ACP and comes with two 120mm magazines. The MSRP on this gun is $2,599.
