surefire2.gifSuppressor Details
Originally named the FA556K (that’s how mine was marked) the FA556-212 is a shortened version of SureFire’s FA556AR; both are 5.56mm (.223) suppressors designed for AR carbines, and come equipped with SureFire’s patented Fast-Attach system. At 6 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter, and boasting an advertised reduction to 135 dB (decibels) at the shooter’s ear, the compact FA556-212 weighs 16 ounces and adds a little less than 4.5 inches to the overall length of the weapon.
