Home defense, conceal carry, self-defense: a common denominator in these events is that they often take place after dark. If one sends rounds downrange, no matter the reason, the shooter is morally, ethically and legally responsible for every shot fired. So identifying a potential target remains paramount. To help in that pursuit, SureFire just launched an all-new line of weaponlights, the XSC.
SureFire XSC Weaponlights
Designed for micro-compact handguns, the SureFire XSC features a premium-grade weaponlight. The rechargeable, compact light delivers an intense white light, according to SureFire. But its micro-footprint still enables deep concealment.
The new line feature three models, each purpose-built for specific handguns. The XSC-A accommodates the Glock 43X and 48, with an accessory rail. Meanwhile, the XSC-P365 works with the popular SIG Sauer P365 and P365 XL. Finally, the XSC-HELLCAT fits the wildly popular Springfield Armory Hellcat line of pistols.
Each XSC measures less than 2 inches long overall, weighing under 2 ounces. Intuitive, ambidextrous switching provides ease of momentary- or constant-on activation. The premium LED also delivers 350 lumens of white light via a parabolic reflector. It creates a concentrated, hot-spot of light, according to SureFire. A rugged aerospace aluminum body protects the unit. A gasket seals the light for weather- and waterproof reliability.
The XSC utilizes a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. It recharges without removing the weaponlight from the pistol. Each battery features an LED fuel gauge, displaying charge level. Lastly, the XSC has an MSRP of $329. For more information, please visit surefire.com.
