S&W M&P15T II: Upgraded Components Make Carbine Shooter-Ready

Smith & Wesson just announced the release of its newest carbine, the S&W M&P15T II. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, the M&P15T II features a host of component upgrades. It comprises an out-of-the-box ready rifle package, one suited to duty, defense or sport.

Smith & Wesson chose several best-in-class components for this rifle build. Upgrades include a full-length aluminum M-LOK handguard and flat-face trigger. An M&P grip features interchangeable palmswell inserts for a custom fit. A Magpul CTR Carbine Stock and MBUS sights provide popular aftermarket upgrades as well.

The S&W M&P15T II features a free-float 16-inch barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist rate. A mid-length gas system powers the carbine, delivering reduced recoil and efficient cycling, according to Smith & Wesson. The M&P15T II includes a forged, oversized trigger guard for maximum clearance wearing gloves. The flat-face trigger delivers a crisp, consistent pull.

The rifle comes standard with a Radian Raptor-LT charging handle, delivering ambidextrous manipulation. The Magpul components delivers well-known, popular choices from the start.
