Pronounced oh-WYE-hee, the rifle utilizes the Magpul Backpacker stock for easy transport to the range or when backpacking.
The TacSol Owyhee Magnum .22 WMR Takedown Rifle
Constructed of durable aluminum, the receiver is embedded in a customized Magpul X-22 Backpacker takedown stock. Coming in at just over 4 pounds, the Owyhee is one of the lightest takedown rifles available. For this reason, the rifle is easily transported in a backpack or range bag. Not to mention, easily stored.
The receiver is drilled and tapped for the addition of a scope rail. Additionally, an SBX model is also available with an included Picatinny rail for attaching the optic of your choice. However, an adjustable rear sight couples with the fiber optic front sight if you prefer iron sights.
Chambered in .22 WMR, the lightweight 16.5-inch barrel with chromoly steel bore and 1:14 twist features an 11-degree target crown. Likewise, the 1/2×28 threaded barrel allows for attaching a suppressor or other muzzle device. The barrel assembly is easily removed with the push of a button and twist mechanism and attaches to the stock body for compact storage and transport.
Featuring a 9-round rotary magazine, the extended magazine release provides for fast and easy mag removal.
