Talon Releases New Grips for Glock Gen5 Pistols

The Glock Gen5 pistols were released at the end of August, and the availability of aftermarket parts is starting to grow. First we heard about new Gen5 laser options from Crimson Trace. Next, we told you about new Gen5 holsters from Safariland and its Bianchi brand. Now, Talon Grips is getting in on the action with its new Glock Gen5 grips.

“The absence of finger grooves on the Gen5 Glock resulted in a Talon Grip design that provides comprehensive grip area coverage in a very durable design,” Talon Grips president Mike Morris said in a statement. “Our inhouse design, prototyping, production, and product testing enabled us to move quickly and efficiently from concept to final product. Truly our entire team contributed in the development of this grip.”

According to the press release, Talon drew on its extensive design experience to produce a simple, yet reliable and stylish grip. Specific grips are available for each backstrap option including no backstrap, medium backstrap/beavertail, and the large backstrap/beavertail. The variety of the sizes offered here guarantees a perfect fit regardless of the backstrap you pick.

Available in both black granulate and black and moss rubber textures and easily installed within minutes, these new low profile grips also include a logo cutout for the Glock emblem on the left side of the handle.

“The first Talon Grip was made for a Glock 23 over 8 years ago so the recent creation of our Gen5 grips highlights our continued progression and evolution making perfection even better,” Morris added.
