Taurus has unveiled the CURVE: a body-contoured pistol chambered in .380 ACP which is perfect for concealed carry applications.

Roughly the size of modern smartphones, the Taurus CURVE is a double-action only, semi-auto pistol with a curved grip frame that’s designed to fit the contours of your body with no visible printing. It packs 6+1 rounds in an easily concealable 5.18-inch package. It also boasts an overall weight of 10.2 ounces and has a carbon steel slide and stainless steel barrel.

For safety purposes, the CURVE comes with a loaded chamber indicator, as well as the Taurus Security System for long term locking storage. It also has a trigger protector with a built-in lanyard for use when using the holster-free belt clip.

As the press release notes, there is an integrated LaserLyte LED light/laser combo system built within the frame for target acquisition in any lighting scenario. The rear of the slide has a bore axis sighting system for point shooting at close distances. This new subcompact doesn’t have traditional sights, which helps keep the concealed carry design smooth and snag-free. The textured grip and low bore axis provide comfortable shooting and mild recoil.

“We challenged our engineers to develop a handgun that was comfortable to wear. We wanted it to be as comfortable as wearing a watch every day,” commented Sarah Perry, Director of Marketing. “We wanted a concealed carry firearm that was designed for wearing against the contours of your body. The engineers eagerly accepted the challenge and three years later and after much testing, we are beginning production of the Curve.”
