Taurus Judge T.O.R.O. Brings Optics-Ready Multi-Cal Thumper!

Taurus just keep cranking out cool, new options for the popular Taurus Judge line of multi-caliber revolvers. Only last month, Taurus dropped the Judge Defender, sporting a 13-inch barrel and a Picatinny rail–an imposing wheelgun to be sure. Now Taurus doubles down on its popular optics-ready initiatives, releasing the Taurus Judge T.O.R.O.

Taurus Judge T.O.R.O. Details

The T.O.R.O. system stands for Taurus Optics Ready Option. The company successfully moved the system to revolvers with the 856 and 605 T.O.R.O.s. earlier this year. Now the system comes to the Judge, bringing the optics-ready system in four different variants. Each Judge T.O.R.O. will come with a 3-inch barrel in either matte black or stainless steel finishes.

The major differentiating factor stems in cylinders, accommodating either 2.5- or 3-inch .410 shotshells. But each revolver features a smooth double-action trigger and fiber-optic front sight if you choose to go without the optic. For everyone else, the T.O.R.O. comes ready to accept the Holosun K-series or Shield RMSc footprint.

“What’s better than a Judge? A Judge with a dot on it,” said Caleb Giddings, General Manager of Marketing for Taurus USA. “The Judge is without a doubt our most popular revolver, and adding a red dot to it just enhances its capabilities.”

The new Taurus Judge T.O.R.O. retails for $615.99. For even more info, visit taurususa.com.

Editor’s Note:

We’ve spent a lot of time on the range with Taurus over the last few years, and this is a company moving in the right direction. It just keeps pushing out innovative and updated designs, both new introductions and redesigned favorites. Brining the T.O.R.O. system to the famed Judge is an obvious choice, as the shooting world has forever moved into the world of carry-optics. Where better to bolt on a dot than the most popular workhorse in the stable–the Judge!
