Taurus Team Captain Jessie Duff Captures Ladies Steel Master

Jessie Duff earned her 9th consecutive Ladies Steel Master at the 2016 Steel Challenge Nationals. The match was held at the Volusia County Hunt & Gun Club in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on March 18-20, 2016.

Duff competed in the .22 Rimfire Open, Limited and Open Classes, making her eligible for the Steel Master. The Taurus Team Captain took 1st Place Ladies and 3rd overall in the .22 Open Class. In the Limited Division Jessie captured 1st place in the Ladies Iron Sights with an 8th place overall. The Open Class event found Jessie holding onto a 2nd place Ladies with a 10th place overall. The accumulation of classes and stages positioned Duff as the 1st Place Ladies Steel Master. The event hosted over 180 male and female competitors in its new location for 2016.

“Steel is the perfect type of match for showing the versatility of the Taurus 1911,” said Duff. “I love the challenge of finding the right balance between speed and accuracy. That is what the Steel Challenge is all about for me.”

The Open and Limited pistols Duff competes with are built off the Taurus PT1911 platform in 9mm and are customized for the Steel Challenge. Duff’s next match is the USPSA Area 6 event at the South River Gun Club in Covington, Georgia on April 22-24, 2016. She will be competing in Single Stack with her Taurus 1911.
