Smaller and more compact, the Mepro M22 reflex sight with fiber-optic illumination by day and premium Swiss made tritium vials by night that will operate in any lighting condition with no need for batteries ever. The transition between the two systems is instantaneous and automatic. It’s rugged, battle-proven construction meets or exceeds rigorous standards to function in the harshest environments.

To fully appreciate the critical value of this optic, one needs to know the history. From the moment Israel declared Independence on May 14, 1948, they have been on the defensive safe-guarding their freedom. All Israeli citizens are required to serve in the military when they turn 18. Knowing that young soldiers might not remember to change out the batteries on a reflex optic, which were gaining popularity in the early 2000’s, the IDF needed an optic for CQB that was 100% self-powered.

Meprolight, already a pioneer in the use of tritium illumination for optics, introduced the Mepro M21 and in 2002, the IDF selected it for standard issue for the troops. In ’04, it became available to the U.S. market. During the past 22 years, the M21 has been selected by militaries and law enforcement agencies worldwide as their optic of choice for CQB. Jump to 2024, advancements in manufacturing technology, along with advancements in in tritium processing and electro-optic offerings allowed Meprolight’s engineers to design the M22 to a higher standard.

It is smaller, more compact, taking up less space on the rail so there is room for other accessories. The crystal-clear reticle available in a 3.5/40 MOA Bullseye or 10 MOA Triangle reticle. The reticle’s illumination is automatically adjusted to the ambient light around the optic. The rugged, battle-proven construction meets or exceeds rigorous standards to function in the harshest environments.
