I vividly remember the days when the 1911 was declared obsolete and dead in the market. Yet this classic continues to not only live on but thrive. Nowhere has that been more evident than in the double-stack design world. Jacob Grey is the latest to bring us a new solid double-stack 1911. Their latest creation is the TWC Hex.
The TWC Hex is a Great Addition to the TWC Lineup
The Jacob Grey TWC Hex is the newest member of the TWC lineup. This good-looking and practical double-stack 1911 features a fully CNC machined grip module and frame crafted from billet aluminum. It is a well-thought-out design and has some great features. These include a tool-less guide rod for easy maintenance, a 4.25-inch stainless steel bull barrel, and integrated optic plates. The Hex comes with suppressor-height sights if you want to run a suppressor. This also aids in co-witnessing in the optic. Its compatibility with RMR, RMSc, Delta Point Pro, and ACRO red dots ensures seamless customization for shooters who demand options.
The TWC Hex – Double Stack 1911
The TWC Hex takes performance to the next level with its precision-engineered ported barrel and slide. These ports reduce muzzle flip, keeping the firearm steady during recoil and enabling faster, more accurate follow-up shots. The trigger design also helps with accuracy. The Patent-Pending one-piece Jacob Grey Controlled Radius Trigger (CRT) provides a crisp, consistent 3.5 lb. pull for superior performance. One of the most striking features is the hexagonal pattern on the grip module. A visually striking design with practical functionality, the hexagonal pattern enhances grip and firearm manipulation while setting the TWC Hex apart from its modern aesthetic.
Built on Customer Feedback
“The TWC Hex is a natural evolution in the TWC series,” said Todd Neice, President of Jacob Grey Firearms. “It represents a culmination of customer feedback and our team’s commitment to pushing boundaries in firearms innovation.”
