Timney Triggers recently announced its newest modular trigger design, the Impact. Timney designed the Impact as a low-cost AR trigger design, one that maintains quality and performance.

Timney Triggers Impact

The Impact comes as a response to Timney’s People’s Choice Line of Excellence. Customers asked for a lower-cost option for an AR trigger design, according to Timney.

The Impact features parts machined from billet steel, not metal injection molding or stamped parts. The company assembles each trigger, then technicians hand-test each unit. Designed to drop in to all mil-spec ARs, the Impact breaks at 3-4 pounds.

The modular design captures all components in a lightweight aluminum alloy housing. The hammer is wire-EDM cut from S7 tool steel. It combines hardness to resist wear with superior impact resistance to withstand heavy use, according to Timney. Other components feature wire EDM cut A2 tool steel, heat treated to Rc 56-60 for long service life. The Impact installs using your rifle’s original hammer/trigger pins. The design eliminates pin walkout, according to Timney.
