SDS Imports just announced the release of its newest take on the famed Government Model. The Tisas 1911A1 Aviator brings the feel of John Browning’s original fighting pistol for a fraction of the cost of many competing Model 1911s.
Tisas 1911A1 Aviator Details
The 1911A1 Aviator comes chambered in both .45 ACP and 9mm. It utilizes an aluminum frame with an H-151 Satin Aluminum Cerakote finish. The grips feature overmolded black rubber for a functional, comfortable purchase.
The 4.25-inch hammer-forged steel barrel fits within a smooth-action slide made of 4140 hammer-forged steel. All exterior parts feature a durable H-146 Black Cerakote finish. The Aviator comes with a newly designed front brass bear and rear sights, delivering a 5.66-inch sight radius. Total magazine capacity equals seven rounds.
The trigger and trigger guard remain true to those found on the original Model 1911, according to SDS Imports. The GI trigger exhibits a 4.5 to 5-pound trigger pull. The gun utilizes a round hammer and service safety, along with a magazine release behind the trigger. The additional safety replicates the GI-style grip safety, requiring the shooter to squeeze it to fire the single-action trigger. The beaver-style back safety grip protects the hammer and prevents the gun from firing if accidentally dropped. The pistol’s mainspring housing enables better handling and comfortable shooting, according to SDS Imports.
The Tisas 1911A1 Aviator retails for $529.99. For even more info, please visit tisasusa.com.
