TOPS Introduces Thin ‘Frog Market Special’ Boning Knife

Vietnam is a country with very distinct regional cutlery tastes. On a recent trip to Hanoi, cutlery expert Steven Dick found butchers and fish mongers using a pattern that was entirely new to him. The wide heel area allowed deep shearing cuts, the steeply curved edge sliced well, and the fine point was idea for boning pork and poultry. With the help of TOPS, he has upgraded this practical design into a first class working blade, the Frog Market Special.

As for the name, like all socialist countries, the Viets have an insatiable desire for more taxes on the working person. And working people have an equally strong will to hold on to their hard earned Dong. Thus the creation of “Frog Markets,” a collection of butchers, fish mongers, fruit and produce sellers that move their stalls around the city staying “one jump” ahead of the tax man.
