Tyrant Designs CNC is best known for its eye-catching AR pistol grips and foregrips. But the Illinois-based company is branching out by offering cool and convenient accessories for handgun shooters. Case in point: the Extended Magazine Release designed for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield.
The M&P Shield Extended Magazine Release functions exactly like the factory release, but it differs from Smith’s mag release in that it has a slightly raised profile with chamfered edges. In its press release, Tyrant says this “helps ensure that you eject your S&W Shield magazine quickly and with ease.”
CNC machined from aerospace grade aluminum, this mag release installs on your Shield in seconds with no tools needed. In addition, the crosshair pattern adds texture so you can easily release the magazine. Furthermore, Tyrant Designs says its magazine release “merges flawlessly with the ergonomics and styling of your M&P shield.”
Designed for concealed carry and competitive shooting, the Tyrant Designs M&P Shield Extended Magazine Release is available in black, red, grey, blue and machined aluminum. The MSRP is $24.95. See the features rundown below, along with a video highlighting installation.
