The U.S. Army has chosen to adopt the Blackhawk Serpa Tactical Holster for its Improved Modular Tactical Holster Program as part of a five-year, $24 million contract.
The SERPA has been field-proven in military conflicts and law enforcement engagements worldwide, now serving as the current platform for the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, Army Military Police, the German Army and other law enforcement and military agencies both domestic and international.
The improvements provided by the SERPA holster are the increased modularity, including a drop-leg configuration that can be quickly transferred to a hip configuration. The SERPA also has the capability to be worn or attached to current Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (MOLLE), load carriage equipment such as rucksacks and the Tactical Assault Panel (TAP) or on individual body armor such as the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) or the Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS).
