The following press release was issued by UM Tactical
The UMH3 Speed Holster, patent pending is designed for use with the popular UM3 Optic Mount – has been approved by John Amidon, President of USPSA for use in open division competition.
The speed holster has been well received by pistol shooters who use multiple guns because the holster actually is designed to fit the UM3 mount, making it nearly universal for all pistols.
The speed holster features a slot cut in the front of the rig to allow for holstering with optics mounted. This is a feature that all pistol shooters have been looking for. It also is designed with an adaptive belt mount system that allows for adjusting to almost any carry style.
“Once we solved the issue of easily mounting optics on pistols, it was obvious we needed a holster that matched,” noted UM Co-Founder and Design Engineer Brian Wilson. “We tried to incorporate every request and suggestion that our optic mount customers sent us. I feel we succeeded.”
The speed holster is manufactured from Boltaron carbon fiber style and is available in multiple finishes. MSRP is $64.99 and it can be ordered today via www.umtactical.com.
In addition to the holster, UM also offers the UM3 Optic Mount that allows for easy mounting of red dot style optics on any pistol with a 1913 Picatinny/Weaver type rail. The mount installs in minutes with no tools and can easily be moved from gun to gun. When installed, removed and reinstalled on the same pistol with the same optic, the UM3 also holds zero, eliminating the need to re-zero optics every time.
Since their debut last year, UM has rapidly set the standard for mounting optics on a pistol. Several pistol makers have expressed interest in carrying the UM3 as the optics mounting solution. The UMH3 holster is sure to find that same success.
