Rossi recently announced the update of its popular Match Pair rimfire rifle/shotgun platform. The multi-function firearm serves as a youth gun, yet one also effective for general use and plinking around the home or farm.

The Rossi Matched Pair works off a single-shot, break-open action design. The Matched Pari comes with two barrels, one chambered for .22 LR or .22 Magnum, the other for 3-inch .410 or 20 gauge. The tool-free design makes changing barrel quick and easy as well. The shotgun barrel comes with a standard bead front sight, while the rifle barrel includes high-visibility fiber-optic front and rear sights. The rear sight includes full adjustability for zeroing.
Rossi updated the Match Pair line with a completely redesigned forend and buttstock. A more aggressive texturing along the polymer forend and pistol rip provides no-slip purchase for optimal muzzle control, according to Rossi. The company also replaced the conventional design with a skeletonized” buttstock and pistol grip. The new profile delivers reduced weight and improved ergonomics, according to Rossi. A recess in the buttstock provides space for a clever, integrated four-shell carrier, giving convenient access to more ammunition. Finally, a thicker rubber buttpad helps reduce perceived felt recoil.
Rossi also added more color choices for the Matched Pair line. The .22LR/.410 and .22LR/20-gague combos, along with standard black, now come in Tan, OD Green and Gray. The .22 Magnum/.410 comes in black only.
