Leupold recently announced that the U.S. Marshal’s Service has selected the DeltaPoint Pro, paired with Dawson Precision sights, for its duty firearms. The project results from a collaboration between Leupold and Dawson Precision.

U.S. Marshal’s Select Leupold DeltaPoint Pro & Dawson Precision

The DeltaPoint Pro delivers an immense, crystal-clear field of view, according to Leupold. It features bold aiming point designed for high-pressure situations. Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, the DeltaPoint Pro features 1-MOA click adjustments. Meanwhile, eight user-selectable intensity settings and Leupold’s Motion Sensor Technology add to the features. The entire unit weighs less than two ounces.

Dawson Universal Optics System

Leupold worked in conjunction with Dawson Precision to deliver the package deal the the U.S. Marshal’s Service sought. Dawson Precision utilized the DP Pro as a direct firearm mount. The Dawson Precision Hard Use co-witness sights also retrofit the exiting Tenon system in the DP Pro. Additionally, Dawson add an interchangeable cover plate with a Perfect Impact rear sight. This unit switches out to iron sights when desired. The design enables operators to switch back and forth between systems while maintaining reliability. The system garnered the name Dawson Universal Optics System, or Dynamic Universal Optic System.
