Del-Ton was a leader in AR custom rifle kits, parts and accessories world before moving into the complete rifle market a few years ago. Based in Elizabethtown, N.C., Del-Ton now offers a wide lineup of American-made rifles that come with a lifetime warranty.

One of the newest rifles in the company’s extensive lineup is the Del-Ton Echo 316M. Built as an entry-level rifle, as I learned recently on the range, it is still made to Del-Ton’s exacting standards.
While considered an entry-level rifle, the Echo 316M’s components and performance show it to be much more. From its high-pressure and magnetic-particle tested, Carpenter 158 steel bolt to the phosphated 8620 steel carrier to the snug-fitting 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers, the rifle is rock solid.
What you can take away from the materials used by Del-Ton is that the company is serious about striking a balance between function and cost. For the average shooter looking for an entry-level gun, Del-Ton has chosen its materials wisely.
The Echo 316M is designed to offer a very long service life—and it currently retails for only $821.92.
Del-Ton has outdone itself in building a great rifle at a great price. It comes with an A2-style F-marked front sight post, traditional polymer handguards, a flattop rail for adding optics, an A2-style grip and a collapsible stock. It has a great feel, is well balanced and runs well. Throw respectable accuracy into the mix and you have a great rifle on your hands.
Whether this is your first or 50th rifle, you will not be disappointed in what you get for your money in this gem.
