Even though we didn’t have a SHOT Show to attend this year, the plethora of virtual releases helped us find a new submachine gun platform, one sure to turn some heads. The Vigilance M20 comes in both pistol and rifle, semi-auto and full. At first glance, this is an interesting little package.
Vigilance M20 SMG Details
The M20 is the type of thing that would turn heads in Vegas at SHOT Show. It’s a shame we didn’t get the chance to see it—along with the reactions—in person this year. But onto the gun itself.
The M20 utilizes quick change barrels via a barrel nut design. A machine gun-style flip-up lid provides quick access. The M20 cocks on the left side, and it features a folding, adjustable stock.
The action works from a straight blowback design. Vigilance says the system boasts controlled feed.
The base model features a carbine barrel and folding, adjustable stock. It comes with a muzzle brake, Picatinny rail and one 10-round ProMag. For $399, the Full Set Upgrade includes an additional short barrel and barrel nut. It also comes with an additional muzzle brake. Finally, a Travel Upgrade includes a Pelican Hardcase V700 with custom foam fitting.
For those who are able, the M20 comes fully automatic as well. Dubbed the A-M20, company product videos show it running through mags quickly.
The M20 features a fire pin lock. When the lid is open, the firing pin remains blocked, eliminating the possibility of firing. The gun features integrated, fixed sights. A fixed ejector pulls doulbe-duty as a magazine stop. A controlled-feed extractor helps in dependability.
That’s all we have for now. But don’t worry — we’ll try to get one out on the range for some testing. The Vigilance M20 retails for $1,699. For even more info, please visit vigilancerifles.com.
