Washoe County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services for the unincorporated area of Washoe County with approximately 412 commissioned personnel. The highly trained, dedicated SWAT team routinely respond to situations such as barricaded subjects, high-risk entry and other tactical support.
The American Defense UIC Mod 1 LE 10.5″ complete upper provides upgraded components and performance, including Rosco manufactured barrels. The 9-inch M-LOK handguard provides a stable mounting platform for front iron sights. Also, M-LOK slots accommodate lasers, lights, clip-on night-vision devices and more. The uppers come complete with a premium bolt carrier group, Magpul MBUS Pro sights and Radian Weapons Raptor Charging Handle.
“We have chosen the American Defense upper receiver for the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team for several reasons,” said Deputy Daniel Bales, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. “First, the reliability of the platform is second to none. I personally have used their rifles and have had zero issues after thousands of rounds. Second, the accuracy of these rifles has been amazing from round 1 to round counts in the tens-of-thousands.”
American Defense remains committed to supporting agencies beyond the sale. It provides immediate, temporary replacement of any ADM rifle used in a critical incident and taken out of service for evidentiary purposes. American Defense’s “Ready Reserve” program provides immediate, temporary replacement of any ADM rifle that is destroyed in the line of duty in order to reduce department disruption and maintain 100-percent stock in the department’s armory, according to American Defense.
